Rick Settersten is Professor of Human Development and Family Sciences, and Endowed Director of the Hallie Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families, at Oregon State University. Rick Settersten’s research has often focused on the first and last few decades of adulthood, always with an eye toward understanding the whole of human life. His work has been supported by the MacArthur Foundation and by divisions of the National Institutes of Health. His recent books include the third edition of the Handbook of Theories of Aging (with Vern Bengtson) and Long-Term Outcomes of Military Service (with Ron Spiro and Carolyn Aldwin).
