Dr. Margaret Manoogian is an Associate Professor with the Gerontology Division at Western Oregon University.

She received her bachelor's of art in history and environmental studies at University of California, Santa Barbara and later went on to receive her master of education for higher education at the University of Vermont, as well as a doctorate of philosophy in human development and family studies from Oregon State University.

Currently, Dr. Manoogian has focused her research on investigating intergenerational transfers among older parents and adult children, specifically individuals and families who experience genocide, poverty, or poor health due to type 2 diabetes.
