David R. Grube, MD
Dr. Grube is a board-certified doctor in family medicine and has been a leader in the Oregon Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) and OAFP Foundation. In 2001, he was appointed to the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (now known as the Oregon Medical Board), serving seven years, with two as the president. In 1986, he was chosen as the OAFP Family Physician of the Year. In 2009, he was selected as the Oregon Medical Association Doctor Citizen of the Year.
He has taught premedical and medical students for his entire career. He has lectured for the OMB and Foundation for Medical Excellence on professionalism, physician wellness, end of life care, and humor in medicine.
He has served on the Philomath School Board, Benton Hospice Board, and Good Samaritan Hospital Board. He is now the National Medical Director for Compassion and Choices of Oregon.
