Carolyn Mendez-Luck Associate Professor of Health Management and Policy / Human Development and Family Sciences at Oregon State University. She completed her Ph.D. and M.P.H. degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Mendez-Luck’s primary research interests are the social and cultural factors associated with elder caregiving and chronic disease management in Mexican-origin families and the quality of care in nursing facilities in Oregon. Dr. Mendez-Luck is the chair-elect of the Aging and Public Health Section of the American Public Health Association. She is actively involved in long-term care activities in Oregon, serving on advisory and work committees at the county and state levels.
